Grange services Ltd is a small bespoke management company which aims to deliver a high quality service with a high quality team of staff.
The director Nikki Lewis, an RGN nurse has been involved in care for all of her career and previously owned The Malthouse Care Home in Gillingham, Dorset for 18 years.
It was the concept of delivering high quality independent living which inspired her to develop The Grange in 2003 with her co director Peter Harding.
The ethos is to maintain dignity, respect and independence – ensuring personal wishes are prioritised at all times.
Grange Services is responsible for the employment of staff and collecting the monthly service charge and delivering services of the highest quality.
The service charge of £467 per month covers:
- 24 hour emergency call response from live-in staff
- Maintenance of communal grounds
- Quarterly external window cleaning
- Cleaning of all communal areas including dining room, drawing room, bar, hairdressing salon
- Fire alarm and Lift maintenance
- Guest Suite
- Buildings Insurance
- Monthly contribution to the Reserve Fund
Welcoming and assisting owners to settle into new homes and being on hand for advice and emergencies is just one aspect of the manager and deputy manager’s role. Their services are given in a professional manner, without intruding, allowing owners to enjoy a relaxed lifestyle where their wishes are paramount
The manager who is in the office from 9.30am – 2pm Monday to Friday is also responsible for the day-to-day running and maintenance of grounds and buildings. The manager also arranges for window cleaning, communal cleaning, rubbish collection, planning of dining room meals , social events, manning the bar etc.
Although owners are responsible for the internal maintenance of their home, they can take advantage of contacts with local suppliers and trades people. If a little more assistance or care support is needed, help and advice on good quality ‘Care at Home’ Agencies is available. In an emergency the manager or relief managers are there to provide immediate short-term comfort and assistance. This service is available 7 days a week 24 hours a day.
